The 2021 Kermit Long Fishing Derby is happening on Saturday, July 24th from 8:00am to 4:00pm. The Derby is open to ages 16 and under.

Rules

HAVE FUN!
Open to ages 16 and under
Fish must be caught during the contest period July 24^th from 8:00am to 4:00pm ONLY. No entries may be submitted prior to Saturday, July 24 at 8am.
2 Ways to enter your catch:

For those comfortable, enter your catch in person, at the Miller/Swirla cottage located on the NE side of Boyd Island (15KL21). 5^th cottage on right from top of the island through the twin rocks. Luke Miller & Matt Gregory will be on the dock measuring all fish as they come in.
Submit a photo of your fish with a ruler or measuring tape to prove the length or width directly to Erin Swirla via Facebook DM or at erinswirla@yahoo.com

Announcement of Winners

Winners will be announced Sunday July 25^th via Kahshe Lake Facebook Page as well as the KLRA website: https://kahshelake.ca/

Winners may pickup their prizes at the Miller/Swirla cottage starting Sunday July 25^th, 2021 at 8:00am. An alternate pickup option will be available as needed.

The Kermit Long Fishing Derby contest is intended for ages 16 and under. We encourage all ages to participate by volunteering & donations are graciously accepted. Please email Erin Swirla at erinswirla@yahoo.com to volunteer or donate.

Prizes

All participants will receive a prize!

Prizes will be awarded for First- $10, Second $7- & Third- $5 place for all categories. Categories include:

Perch
Sunfish (Bluegill)
Rock Bass
Small Mouth Bass
Large Mouth Bass
Walleye (Pickerel)
Pike
Smallest Fish
Elusive Kahshe Muskie
Most Unique Catch
